Update regarding Staffordshire Police Response to Boro Fans at Stoke

A brief update from MSF regarding our email to the Chief Constable of Staffordshire Police and The Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire & Rescue and Crime regarding the unacceptable treatment of Middlesbrough Fans at Stoke City

MSF has received an update from the Case Manager at Staffordshire Police who is dealing with this complaint. The Case Manager has concluded his investigation into the matter and written a lengthy report.

The next stage in this process will be a peer review of the tactics and the use of PAVA spray. It has been requested that this is done by an outside force who will have a copy of the report with the considerations and initial recommendations redacted.

The Case Manager will then take into consideration the views of the reviewer and amend the report if appropriate.

There is no specific time frame for this review to be completed.

Once the report is returned it will be assessed and released to MSF to read.
