New Items

From FMTTM:

  1. Allowing Home Supporters Coaches priority of cars when departing and accessing the Riverside Stadium.  Priority departure can be (and has been achieved in the past) by the police escorting the Home Supporters Coaches onto the A66 with the Away Supporters Coaches.
  2. Allow home supporters coaches to advertise their contact and departure details though official club media.

CONTEXT OF ABOVE ITEMS: I use the bus that Andy Wilson from Yarm Reds arranges and organises to Home games. An issue a lot of the regulars who use it are seeing is the getting away from the ground after a game. On average it takes us over an hour and 15 mins to get from the riverside back to Yarm. On average in the coach park there are roughly 10 to 15 coaches parked in the car park situated outside the back of the east stand. The problem we all see every game is that the away coaches, sometimes one or two, are released before Home fans and directed around the stadium and on to the a66. Whereas we are directed back towards cargo fleet roundabout and past the navigation pub. The club a few years ago were all for promoting car sharing and the use of public transport to games however it seems that Home coaches are second priority. Is it possible for the club to be able to re-look at the procedures for getting coaches and cars to and from the riverside stadium to make it a more enjoyable experience coming to the match on public transport. A suggestion that happened around 5 to 6 years ago were that Home coaches and cars followed the away coaches away from the ground and help ease the congestion.
