FILL YOUR BOOTS & BRING YOUR BOOTS!

Middlesbrough Supporters Forum(MSF) will sign off Football Season 2019/20 with a double collection for the local Middlesbrough Foodbank and international charity Boots2Africa.

With the blessing and support of Middlesbrough Football Club, the Middlesbrough Supporters Forum is again urging generous fans to “Fill your Boots” and bring tinned and dried and non-perishable food to the QPR home match for our 4th collection of the 2019/20 Season for the Middlesbrough Foodbank (run locally by the national Trussell Trust charity). Boro fans have already donated 1.25 Imperial tons of food and more than £1,750 in cash donations this Season.

But Middlesbrough Supporters Forum is also asking fans to “Bring Your Boots!” for Boots2Africa.

Chris Joseph, MSF Chair said:- “Boot2Africa is connected with 170 football clubs across the UK and has distributed 14,000 pairs of boots as well as over 30,000 footie kit items to Africa, Asia and as far as Tibet since it started 3 years ago. Boro fans, friends and families will almost certainly have decent pairs of football boots or trainers and kits(Boro or other) tucked away or forgotten somewhere that they either no longer use or have simply grown out of. All boots, trainers, and kits collected on the day will be donated to the Boots2Africa charity to send to children and young adults throughout Africa and beyond who often don’t even have any shoes at all to play in or wear. If you bring your boots you won’t get a game when we play QPR, but you can rest assured your boots, trainers, or kit donations will be distributed in Africa by summer 2020 where they will be greatly appreciated and valued”.

Collection vans for the Middlesbrough Foodbank and for Boots2Africa will be in the North Stand Car Park at the Riverside Stadium from 12noon until kick-off at 3pm at the QPR match on April 4th 2020.

Chris Joseph added:-“Our fans’ generosity is truly fantastic. We are well on target to beat last year’s Middlesbrough Foodbank collection totals and we’re convinced that our Boots2Africa collection at the QPR game will be greeted with the same enthusiasm”. ENDS
