MIDDLESBROUGH FANS GROUP PLANS NEW SEASON’S FOODBANK COLLECTIONS
Middlesbrough Supporters Forum has organised its Middlesbrough Foodbank collections for the upcoming season to ensure fans know when they can make their much needed and appreciated donations.
With the support of Middlesbrough Football Club, the Forum arranged a donation point outside the outside the North Stand ticket office for dry and non-perishable foods, or cash donations, to support the invaluable work the foodbank does in the town.
The van and volunteers will be in place between 12pm and kick off at the following matches (subject to no date changes for TV etc):
- August 27th – Swansea
- November 5th – Bristol
- December 10th – Luton
- February 4th – Blackpool
- April 15th – Norwich
A card reader machine to accept debit/credit card donations which go directly to the Foodbank will also be available.
The new text donation option for those who are unable to attend the match or wish to make an extra donation at any time is also up and running. Text MSF to 70560 to donate £5. Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network message rate.
Middlesbrough Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
It provides three days’ of nutritionally balanced emergency food to local people who are referred in crisis.
Mark Motley, chair of MSF said: “We are really pleased to have had the opportunity to work with the football club to schedule our Foodbank collections for the new season.
“It enables fans to plan their donations in advance and know when we will be in place to accept them.
“To allow as many people as possible to help with the vital work of the Foodbank we have also set up card reader machines and a text donation service.
“I am certain that, as always, Boro fans will do everything they can to help those who need it.”

Long Life Juice
UHT Milk
Tinned Custard
Tinned Fruit
Cash donations are also welcomed to enable items to be purchased.
