MIDDLESBROUGH FANS GROUP TO HOLD FOODBANK COLLECTION
Middlesbrough Supporters Forum is holding its first post-lockdown Food Bank collection on Saturday 4th December (v Swansea City) – beginning from 12 noon through to kick off.
With the support of Middlesbrough Football Club, the Forum has once again arranged a donation point close to the North Stand turnstiles for dry and non-perishable foods, or cash donations, to support the invaluable work the foodbank does in the town.
Middlesbrough Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
It provides three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food to local people who are referred in crisis.
Urgently needed items required include:
- Tinned vegetables
- Tinned sandwich meat
- Tinned fruit
- UHT milk
- Juice
- Christmas treats for children and adults who may not be getting very much festive cheer
Cash donations are also welcomed to enable urgently needed items to be purchased.
Full details of other items required can be found here –https://middlesbrough.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/
Media are asked to publicise in advance and are welcome to visit the donation point for photo/interview opportunities on the day of the collection
