MIDDLESBROUGH FANS GROUP TO HOLD FOODBANK COLLECTION

Middlesbrough Supporters Forum is holding its next Food Bank collection on Sunday 24 November 2019 from 10am (Boro v Hull City 12 noon kick off – live on Sky TV).

This follows a hugely successful collection in August when a record 512 Kilos of foodstuffs and £450 cash donations were gratefully received.

With the support of Middlesbrough Football Club, the Forum has once again arranged a donation point close to the North Stand turnstiles for dry and non-perishable foods, or cash donations which are gratefully received, to support the invaluable work the foodbank does in the town.

Middlesbrough Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

It provides three days’ of nutritionally balanced emergency food to local people who are referred in crisis.

Urgently needed items required include:

Tinned vegetarian meals (macaroni cheese)

Bottles of Squash

Tinned meat (e.g. chicken casserole, chicken in sauce, spag bol, ravioli)

Tinned Meat (ham, corned beef, spam)

Tinned Fish

Tinned Fruit

Tinned Custard

Long Life Milk

Cash donations are also welcomed to enable urgently needed items to be purchased.
